The Hong Kong Furniture and Decoration Trade Association (HKF&DA) is making its historic debut at Maison&Objet Paris 2025, one of the world's most prestigious interior design trade fairs. The exhibition, which opened on January 16th, showcases the remarkable talent and innovation emerging from Hong Kong's vibrant design community.

Under the theme "HK+FR: Furniture for World Design," this groundbreaking presentation brings together Hong Kong's finest manufacturers, respected design masters, and award-winning Rising Talents from Maison&Objet 2023 and 2024. The exhibition, sponsored by the Cultural and Creative Industries Development Agency (CCIDA) of Hong Kong, represents a significant milestone in cross-cultural collaboration between Hong Kong and Paris.
The exhibition features an impressive lineup of four distinguished Hong Kong design masters, each bringing their unique expertise to the showcase. Joey Ho, known for his whimsical interior designs, presents an innovative collection of furniture including stools, chairs, and light fixtures. Tommy Li, an internationally acclaimed brand consultant with over 650 prestigious accolades, showcases his distinctive table, chair, and tableware designs that embody harmony and balance.

Walter Ma, a pioneer in Hong Kong's fashion scene and Vice Chairman of the Hong Kong Fashion Designers Association, contributes his aesthetic vision through a series of sophisticated furniture pieces and home accessories. Victor Wong, a multimedia artist known for merging technology with traditional art forms, presents 24 works including his striking Luminous Clouds Series and various sculptural pieces.
The exhibition also features collaborations with Rising Talent Award winners from Maison&Objet, including the innovative works of French design studios CLUZEL / PLUCHON, Index Office, and Line & Raphaël. These partnerships demonstrate the creative synergy between Hong Kong and European design sensibilities.

Eleven leading Hong Kong manufacturers have joined forces with these designers to create cutting-edge furnishings that showcase the city's manufacturing excellence. This collaboration underscores Hong Kong's capability to transform visionary concepts into market-ready products while maintaining the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship.
May Leung, Project Convener, emphasizes the significance of this cultural exchange: "This presentation celebrates the flourishing relationship between Hong Kong and Paris, two cities renowned for their cultural richness and creative innovation."
The exhibition coincides with HKF&DA's 70th anniversary, marking a significant milestone in the association's history. Allen Kwong, Chairman of HKF&DA, notes that this collaboration exemplifies their commitment to promoting the "3Cs" - Culture, Creativity, and Craftsmanship - in the furniture and decoration industry.
