KOMIYAMA TOKYO G is currently holding a solo exhibition by British digital artist Kim Laughton starting May 31. The solo exhibition will connect the gallery with a virtual space painted on the theme of "in an undefined time.
In addition to new video and 3D printed works, an art book newly published by KOMIYAMA TOKYO and apparel goods will be exhibited and sold.
Profile
Kim Laughton is originally from the UK but has spent the last decade in Shanghai and relocated to Tokyo at the end of 2022.
Focusing in digitally originated work, especially real CG using game engines, he has created work for museums and galleries including X MUSEUM, Carnegie Museum of Art, PPPP gallery, and worked with record labels and musicians (including PC Music, Fade to Mind, Hyperdub).
In addition to video works, he produces three-dimensional works using 3D printing, interior design, and apparel production.
